Anthracite: High purity coal

Drilling: To make a hole in (a hard material) with a drill (ilmenite deposit)

Ilmenite: A titanium-iron oxide mineral

Pig iron: Cast Iron ingots of a simple shape used in foundries to produce iron castings

Slag: The oxides formed or added at the surface of liquid metals. It is produced by reducing the iron oxide of the ilmenite ore in the smelter

Tailings: Waste minerals, materials from an ore or mineral body with less economic value

TiO₂: Titanium dioxide
